Rendering is the part where the design results are harvested. D5 Render is preset with the best rendering parameters and the user only needs to select the desired resolution of the image. In render mode, the output format, resolution, channel settings and other parameters will be recorded and applied automatically next time we enter render mode.
Image and Panorama
Image rendering function, supports both single "Image" and "Panorama". The upper right corner of the navigation bar allows you to enter the image rendering mode. Set the relevant parameters in the lower area and press Render to get an image.
Image
The field of view value is used to adjust how much content is displayed on the screen.
The larger the field of view value, the larger the area will be displayed, and the subject in the original screen will be "reduced" accordingly. Conversely, the smaller the field of view value, the smaller the area will be displayed, and the subject in the original screen will be "enlarged" accordingly.
Aspect ratio options are "Window", "16:9", "1:1", "4:3". The default image ratio follows the current window size. The preset sizes include: "2K", "4K", "6K", "8K", "16K" and several industry standard screen size parameters.
D5 supports custom image sizes and can export up to 16K images. Checking the channels option will include 5 additional images for post-processing while exporting the image.
- Material ID
- Ambient Occlusion
- RTReflection
- Alpha Mask
- TransMask
While editing the project, save the determined view composition to the scene list for easy recall when exporting images. D5 currently supports exporting in PNG format. Once you click Render and fill in the file name, you can start rendering.
Panorama
Switch to panorama rendering mode. Currently supports rendering panoramas in 4K or 8K size.
D5 will generate a panorama with the camera's location. Please check the view behind the camera to ensure the integrity of the image before rendering.
Video
Click "Video" at the top right of the navigation bar to enter the video shooting mode.
Add video
Once in video mode, click Add Camera below to create a timeline. After creating two cameras in a row, D5 can automatically generate a transition video between both shots.
The transition duration can be adjusted in the area between cameras.
You can create multiple shot keyframes at different locations and preview the video by clicking the play button or dragging the current time indicator.
Different cameras support different time, sunlight and HDR sky parameters to achieve the effect of scene light transformation.
After adjusting the parameters, click "Update" on the timeline shot to save the parameters. Or click "Minus" to delete the unwanted shots.
Video clips
Click on the "plus" sign in the clip list on the left to add different clips to the video. Each clip can be rendered separately or added to the queue.
Right click on the clip to copy, rename and delete the clip. The copied clip contains all the shot parameters and model keyframe information in the clip.
Select the clip and set the parameters for the camera movement in the right sidebar.
Easy Ease
Speed option to control the start and end of camera movement, which allows you to add camera speed control effects for different clips: Linear, Ease in, Ease out, Ease in and out.
Keyframe Interval
With the default "Auto" option, the transition time is calculated automatically when the camera is moving at 2m/s between keyframes. By changing one of these times, the intervals are automatically recalculated for the entire clip, so that the speed is always consistent between segments.
Keyframe Animation
Based on the existing timeline, you can set the model's keyframes after selecting the model from the list or scene.
After determining the position of the model in the scene and timeline respectively, click Add Keyframe to fix the state of the model in the timeline.
After determining the second keyframe on the timeline, the keyframe will be created automatically after adjusting the state of the model position or size, etc. The movement rate of the model is automatically calculated by the time difference between the model's position in the scene and the timeline. If you need to adjust the model's keyframe, overlap the current time indicator and the keyframe, update information about the model's position, size, and other parameters at the current keyframe.
Hold down the shortcut Alt and click on the timeline to quickly add a keyframe at that moment.
Select a keyframe to move its position on the timeline, or press Delete to delete an unwanted keyframe.
Use previouskey frame and next keyframe to quickly switch between keyframes.
Light switch
After selecting a light source, you can add a light keyframe anywhere on the timeline.
Rate matching
After selecting a character or vehicle model, turn on the matching switch to match the model's own movement rate (e.g. character step rate, wheel speed) with the keyframe movement rate.
Use the mouse wheel to move the timeline, and use the shortcut Alt + mouse wheel to zoom in/out of the timeline.
Render Video
You can set the image quality and format of the video when rendering it.
Video resolutions of 480P, 720P, 1080P, 2K, 4K are currently supported.
Video format currently supports .mp4 format.
Render Queue
After setting image or video rendering parameters, you can click Render to export directly, or you can select "Add to Render Queue" for batch rendering.
The queue entry is in the upper right corner of the navigation bar, and you can open it at any time to see the entries in the render queue. When a small dot is displayed on the queue icon, it means that there is a "pending" entry in the queue.
Before using the queue rendering feature, it is recommended to save the current project.
Pending Jobs
When you click on the "Add to render queue" button, your image, panorama or video will be automatically added to the list of pending renders. You can filter to see the different types of entries, select all or some of them for rendering, or clear them from the queue.
At the bottom of the page, after setting the file storage path, clicking on the "Render" and the entries will start rendering in order. You can see the rendering progress of each job. The rendered entries are automatically placed in the "Finished" list.
Finished
In this page, you can view the completed entries in the rendering queue.
As with the Pending Render page, you can manage the entries. Right-click to open the menu, open the folder to view the file, or re-add the rendered entry to the pending render queue to render it again.
