Hello, there are several possible reasons why models in a D5 archive may disappear after reopening the file:
- Check the Object List:
First, verify whether the missing model still exists in the Object List on the left. If it does, but is not visible in the scene, try pressing the shortcut key Z (Zoom to Object) — the model may be located too far from the origin point.
- Network Storage Issues:
If your model or D5 project files are stored on a cloud or network path (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.), opening them directly from that location may cause data reading errors, leading to missing models. Please copy the entire project folder to a local drive and reopen it from there.
- File Anomalies:
There may be an issue with the current archive. You can check for any available backup versions (which may include the missing model) by viewing History Versions.
If it is confirmed that the model is no longer present in the current archive:
- If you are using the Sync/LiveSync workflow, open the latest version of your model file and re-sync it to D5.
- If the model was imported manually, try using ‘Replace from Local’ to re-import it.
Note: In such cases, you may need to reapply materials to the re-imported model.
