Why materials "invisible in raytracing" still appear in the reflection?

Modified on Sun, 8 May, 2022 at 8:14 AM

"Invisible in raytracing" controls whether or not the material participates in lighting (diffuse light) calculations. Check this option, materials will only be visible in camera and other materials' reflection, but will no longer cast shadows and bounce light.

However, considering that materials that do not calculated in rendering are usually used for sky exteriors, but in the actual rendering, the sky exteriors still need to be shown in the reflection. So the "non-rendering" materials will appear in the reflection.
